Paramount Airways, based in Chennai is a premium service airline. It aims at providing convenient and comfortable air travel facilities to the business class. Launched in October 2005, the airline is owned by the Paramount Group based in Madurai. The key base of the airline is the Chennai International Airport. Paramount Airways offers a range of services for the business traveler at highly competitive rates.

The airline connects 12 destinations across Southern India and also to the major metros of the country. The 12th destination in the list for Paramount was the commercial hub Pune and flights to the destination began on the 12th of November, 2005.

The Aim

For Paramount Airways, making every step better is the aim. To achieve this Paramount Airways, plans to further expand its fleet for which plans of placing orders for 15 aircrafts is in the pipeline. Backed by an expert team, the airline aims at reaching out to newer destinations and tapping new markets. After having made a strong presence in South India and setting foot in the Western part of the country, improving its position in the Western region and improving its network further is the plan.

The Fleet

The Paramount Airways has 5 aircrafts at present. It was the first line to introduce the Embraer 170/190 aircrafts in the country. The airline aims at connecting the various commercial centres across the country making it possible for businesses to meet their targets with ease. The airline has proved to be a boon especially to the business community which has found a cost-effective means of travel. It is a huge saving on both cost and time and offers the business traveler a great degree of flexibility.

With major plans of expansion, the Paramount Airways has placed an order for 3 Embraer 175 and 2 Embraer 170. A fleet of 40 aircrafts by the end of 2010 is the dream that the airline is working towards. The year 2011 would see the airline reach out to the international skies and cater to a wider section of the target market.

The Service

Paramount Airways offers business class service to all its passengers. The fares charged for the business class service is comparable to the economy fares charged by other airlines. For the international flights planned too, Paramount Airways would have only the luxurious business class making travel comfortable all the way. Paramount Airways has to its credit the award for “Arch of Europe” and also the “Award of Excellence” by the Institute of Economic Studies.
